As a debut novelist, I'm often asked (by the voices in my head) whether I regret starting off with such an ambitious series.

My short answer is "no."

My longer answer is: Had I realized just how insanely ambitious a series was, I would have taken a lot longer developing the overall arcs before I set out to write the first novel. That said, I am proud to be in this world, telling this story, and I revel in the ulcer-inducing stress it has created.

But don't just listen to me. Hear from an established writer on the insanity of young authors.
